Stupid Best Buy Part 2!

I am SO upset right now. I went to pick up my laptop from Best Buy today (finally) and had my brother come as back-up (if you've seen my brother, you know that he looks like someone who would be VERY intimidating to the "Geek Squad") just in case there were any problems. Fortunately everything went really smoothly. The guy was really nice and he refunded my $100 dollars since they couldn't back up my files so I jut had to pay an extra $30 today for the hardrive. But I sure let him know that even though he was being really nice, I've had one hell of a time these past two weeks trying to get this fixed. He said he has heard similar complaints the whole day and told me that he would speak to a manager about it. So after Best Buy my brother and I parted ways and I went to Wal-mart to print some pictures. Oh and I ended up buying like 6 or 7 movies. Stupid anti-depressants I'm on at the moment make me much happier but WAY impulsive. Oh well. Anyway... I just got home and here I am on my laptop... wanting to cry. EVERYTHING is gone! Everything! All my files, picures, word documents (that had important information I might add), favorite websites, programs... EVERYTHING is gone. It's awful! I don't even remember half the wonderful things I had on my computer (that I added onto and made my home over the past 3 years) and now the whole thing is just blank. Which could be seen as postive because I get to start over and my computer's all fast because there is nothing obstructing it. But I had over 1,000 pictures that I kept on my laptop and my laptop alone. And now they are ALL gone. And the documents I had all had important info that I have no way of recovering =( . So I have two pieces of advice to you laptop users. Number 1: back up everything you don't want to lose! And number two: If your laptop happens to break... never ever ever under no circumstances should you take it to Best Buy.

Stupid Best Buy!

I am so furious at Best Buy! I have had the hardest time EVER trying to get my laptop fixed! took it in a couple weeks ago. And the guy said, "Oh we see this problem all the time. It'll be fixed in 3-4 days but it'll cost $200 and another $100 to back up your files." So I'm thinking, wow, that's expensive. But hey, it's Best Buy. They're trustworthy and they'll do a good job. Plus they know what's wrong with it and I need my laptop to be fixed soon. So I pay the $300.00 dollars and then I wait 6 days and I haven't gotten a call. So I call them and the guy goes, "Oh your hardrive failed." And I'm like... "Um, okay. I know software but I know nothing about the hardware. How do I get it fixed?" And he goes all rudely, "I don't know but someone will call you tomorrow." So i'm like.. wow, ok. So then I wait another 2 days. NO CALL. I call them back AGAIN. Another guy answers and says, "I don't know, but someone will call you back tomorrow." So by this point I'm getting really pissed but I'm like "Ok, but I had better get a call tomorrow." So this time I wait 3 DAYS and NO phone call. So I call back and I'm really pissed this time and finally I got someone who got off his lazy ass and looked for it. And he says, "Hardrive will cost you $130 dollars and maybe $50 for us to install it." And I said, "I'll buy the hardrive but I'm not paying another $50 when I gave you $200 already." So he was nice and said that was fine but the problem was they didn't have my hardrive in stock but it would be coming in Tuesday and he told me to call then. SO I called Tuesday afternoon and a girl answers and she goes, "The guy working with you didn't leave any notes. So you'll have to call him tomorrow." UGH. But anyway, I finally got a hold of him yesterday and he said they are going to install it and it'll be done in 2 days. If it isn't, there will be hell to pay!!

A new journal!

Well here I go... I've decided to start another journal! I used to keep one on Xanga a few years back but that one is just too depressing to continue on so here I am, on blogspot. Journals really help me get my life and thoughts in order so I figured it'd be healthy for me to start doing that again. It feels a little awkward starting out now... but I think I'll get the hang of it =).
